there is no way those teachers had good intentions choosing those 3 individuals for black history month. like you said there is an abundance of black role models... i find it hard to believe that oj/rodman/rupaul are anywhere near the first to come to mind when thinking of good examples of that....some thought had to go behind that.

i got to go with Trig on this one, before the trial OJ Simpson played college and professional football, and how is keeping his jersey up at his college okay, but picking him for this not? why not take his jersey out of the school? Dennis Rodman played on the bulls with Michael Jordan and he was a good player, no more to be said.

It's a stupid thing to celebrate in general because it's not helping put food on anybody's plate. It's just a diversion to say, see blacks can make something of themselves and all this liberal nonsense about not being able to have a fair shot in life is just hearsay. I fully support the teacher expressing their views, and its something we need more of in the school system. When every teacher is forced to be the same, it's obvious the schooling is going to get boring and grades are going to slip
