How To Burn Movies Onto a DVD

This is a tutorial on how to burn movies. This is the way I have been doing it. Yes, there are many other programs you can use, but they all take around the same time. I'm not expecting as many hits on this thread as my Megashares tutorial because most people already know how to do this, but i am trying to help whoever is in need. So lets get started.


First download this program, its called Nero 7 Premium. You can get it from here:

After you install it, open it up by going into this program:


Nero Vision will open. Click on Create DVD.


You will be at this page. Drag any and all files you want on the DVD onto this white area. You can look at all the details at the bottom to see if u have more room left on the DVD. If you click the "Make Movie" button, you can join clips together, or split, or crop. It's basically the editing area.


Click Next. Here you can see how your DVD will look. You can edit the interface by clicking "Edit Menu".


Click Next. This screen will show u how your DVD will look on a DVD player. Check to see if everything is working properly using the Virtual Remote.


I call this the Overview page. Check to see if everything is ok, change the name of the DVD, edit ur burning speed and all that jazz here. You can click the "More" button to get more options and edit ur movie quality (for more space/max quality). When you are ready, click "Burn"


Ok now it is gonna start burning. This process takes a hell of a long time. About 1.5 hours to Transcode, then about 30 more minutes to Burn. It could take up to 3 hours to burn a movie. The little TV area on the right side of the program shows you what part is being converted. So now you can sit back and relax.

How to Burn VIDEO_TS folders into DVD

You can burn your VIDEO_TS to DVD with freeware tool ImgBurn. http://www.dvd-recordable.org/wwwimg...tupImgBurn.zip
This is a new improved version of DVD Decrypter.

Step 1. Enter an empty DVDR disc in your drive and open ImgBurn (click Start -> ImgBurn -> ImgBurn).


Step 2. Create an empty AUDIO_TS folder in the same place where the VIDEO_TS folder is located.

You must definitely have empty AUDIO_TS folder and VIDEO_TS folder with your video files. Why? Empty AUDIO_TS folder is required, because some standalone dvd players want to see it is there! In this way some players check whether it's a real Video DVD or just a simple data DVD.


Step 3. Click menu: Mode -> Build, or just press Ctrl+Alt+B. After that, click menu Output -> Device.


Step 4. Click the button to Browse for a folder





Select the folder where VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS are located:





Step 5. Click Calculate button:





Step 6. Finally, click Write button:

This then creates an ISO image OR you can burn direct to a DVD by choosing a blank dvd as an output source.

do all computers have dvd burners or not? When i went to burn a movie and I got to the 2nd to last picture, i tried to change the "burn to:" option but the only option they had was "image recorder" and I couldnt burn the movie...

Not all computers have DVD burners...it should say DVD/RW something to that effect on the front of your drive. They usually say DVD right in the middle of the drive too...some don't some just say the brand and have that off to the side.

I usually use Roxio to burn DVD's.

i think dvd-rom only lets you play dvds so i doubt you can burn with that

yeah man that shit needs to say DVDRW by the looks of it you can burn CDs and watch DVDs but! you can burn movies to CDs and play em on you DVD players aslong as they Divx compatible.....

all you need is the movie 702mb or less
